The different events in Croatia should not be missed. Performances in antique theatres, operas in Roman amphitheatres, classical music concerts in cathedrals, jazz concerts in ancient castles or folk performances on renaissance squares, as well as an open air film festival in a medieval town, are just some of the events that will definitely enchant you.
In the summer, Poreč’s centre becomes a stage for excellent artists, performers and entertainers from all over the world. Events such as “Jazz in Lapidarium, “Concerts at the Euphrasius Basilica”, the “Street&Art festival” and “Poreč Summer” will make your holiday special.
In the last few years, the Rabac Summer Festival on Girandella beach has become an important point on the European summer festival map. Asides from offering modern beats, throughout the summer Rabac and Labin echo with the sounds of folk legends, music, a cappella’s and traditional instruments.
Krk’s Summer Events have a rich tradition. This is one of the oldest events on this part of the Adriatic coast. Each summer, from 1957 until today, the people of Krk and their visitors have had the privilege to enjoy varied concerts, from classical to contemporary music, as well as drama, ballets, and many other cultural events.
And of course, let’s not forget the greatest cultural spectacle in the City of Dubrovnik which from 1950 until today has been held every summer, during July and August. This is the Dubrovnik Summer Games. The Dubrovnik Summer Games have dramatic, musical and dance performances, where artists from all over the world perform in Dubrovnik’s beautiful locations, such as the hall of Sponza Palace, the Rector’s Palace, the island of Lokrum, and the Revelin Fortress. The open-air performances in Dubrovnik’s special atmosphere are definitely worth experiencing.
