Croatia Travel Guide

The first associations about Croatia made by all those who have visited it at least once are its gentle climate, the crystal clear sea, the wonderful beaches and well-preserved natural surroundings that are combined with a rich historical and cultural legacy, wide range of wine and food, and kind open-hearted hosts.
Of course, this is only the first impression and just the beginning of the story about Croatia. Running the length of the coast, from Istria to Kvarner, to the most southern parts of Dalmatia, the continental part, from Gorski Kotar in the west to Međimurje and Zagorje in the north, as well as Slavonia and Baranje in the east, every region, every area has kept its individuality and tells a unique story about the people, their spirit, nature and the picturesque countryside.
In addition, there are many cultural and entertaining activities, from sports and adventure to relaxation and hobbies, which makes every visit to Croatia unforgettable.

Interesting facts

Salt Lake Mir - Dugi Otok Island It is located on a narrow strip of land between the Telašić bay and the open sea, on the south-western part of Telašćica Nature Park. After the last ice age, the sea level rose, filling the karst depression with sea water. It is linked to the sea via underground channels, with salinity mostly higher than the surrounding sea. The reason for that is significant evaporation and the fact that the lake is closed.
