Activities on Island Rab

Cycling

Cycling along the island's marked trails gives you an excellent opportunity to explore its secluded locations, stunning beaches and protected forests. The cycling trails on the island have a total length of 157 km. You can rent a bicycle in Rab, Lopar, Suha Punta, Supetarska Draga, Banjol or Barbat.

Diving

Take a diving course or rent some equipment and explore the stunning underwater world off the island of Rab in the company of professional divers. Discover the attractive amphora site at Sorinj, as well as underwater caves, tunnels and shipwrecks. There are a total of four diving centres in Kampor, Barbat, Supetarska Draga and Lopar.

Water sports

For those who want to try out different water sports, Rab offers plenty of opportunities. You can go water skiing in the coves of Barbat or Sveta Eufemija, or you can try parasailing and admire the view of the island from a bird's eye view. Enjoy banana or tube boat rides. Go kayaking, or sailing, or take a boat to distant beaches and hidden coves.

Hiking

Hiking and trekking enthusiasts will love the long walks along the coast, exploring the protected holm oak forests, or climbing Mount Kamenjak, the island's largest limestone massif, which is 408 m high. The total length of the island's walking trails is 144 km. A free map is available in the Tourist Information Centre in Rab.

Beach volleyball

A day on a sandy beach wouldn't be complete without beach volleyball. Bring your team with you and let the game begin. On the island of Rab, you can enjoy this attractive summer sport in almost every place on the coast. For many, the preferred venue for beach volleyball is Paradise Beach (Rajska Plaža) in Lopar, which hosts one of the tournaments in the Croatian Beach Volleyball Championship.

Fishing

The waters off the island of Rab are rich in fish and a true fishermen's paradise. If you'd like to catch some fish and enjoy it grilled, you can buy a daily fishing permit from the sports associations in Barbat or Kampor, and find a suitable site for fishing. Enjoy your catch and don't forget to brag about it to your friends.
