In 2005, Valamar was the first company in the hotel industry in Croatia to receive the Employer Partner Certificate for excellence in human resource management.
Following its successful participation in a recertification programme with the Selectio group, Valamar has been named best Employer Partner among Croatian hoteliers every year and has also been named one of the five best Employer Partners in Croatia for years.

Valamar’s human resources department won two other prestigious honours in this field in 2012: The web portal, MojPosao, presented it with the “Best HR Practices” award for its Valamar Academy Project, aimed at nurturing and improving the quality of the group’s employees.
Gordana Fabris, Valamar’s human resources director, was named the best HR manager at the HR Summit organized by the web portal, Posao.hr, in Split in 2011, and she also received the Prometej 2011 award
