Istria is a region with a kind heart, interesting people, natural treasure, a rich history and culture, well-preserved natural countryside, and a blend of green and blue countryside that forms a perfect whole. Pula’s amphitheatre, the Arena, where gladiator fights were held in Roman times, is today an open-air stage that hosts artists from all over the world. Istria’s only National Park, the Brijuni islands are not far from Pula, and one of the most attractive Mediterranean archipelagos. The interior of Istria with its pretty countryside, hills and castles located on the hill-tops are a powerful symbol of Istrian authenticity. There offer breath-taking views and a glimpse of Istria’s peace to anyone who comes here with an open heart wanting to get to know Istria better.
