Rabac Travel Guide: Excursions

Did you know that all of Rabac’s beaches have a Blue Flag? Rabac is a favourite summer destination because of its white pebble beaches and crystal clear sea. It got its Blue Flags in 2002.
Representatives of the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which aims to make beaches safe for swimmers, evaluated Rabac in a number of areas: the cleanliness of the sea and the beaches, the management of the beaches and the safety of swimmers, the conservation of the natural surroundings, and environmental awareness. Rabac was also the winner of the Croatian Tourist Association award “Blue flower with golden sign” for the best kept tourist settlement on the Adriatic in 2007.
You will find many things on the path that stretches the length of Rabac’s coastline. There is an entertainment centre, restaurants, inns, pizzerias, ice-cream shops and cafés, lounge terraces…You can also find souvenir stands that sell things for the summer and a variety of interesting handicrafts. In terms of the bars, we recommend the Tropic lounge bar, Movie bar, Exotic snack bar and the Plaza bistro.
Swimming, sunbathing, having fun and relaxing are not the only things you can do during your stay in Rabac. Champions of an active holiday, sports activities and adrenalin will come into their own with the excellent range of facilities and locations that are aimed directly at them.
Make a little room for culture in your timetable. Visit the town of Labin that is close to Rabac, look at its interesting sites, listen to the regular outdoor summer concerts, visit the museum, exhibitions and watch the performances.
You can also explore Rabac’s surroundings, and go on day trips to the islands of Krk and Cres, inland Istria, Brioni National Park and Učka Nature Park.
Rabac is extremely well connected in terms of transport, so irrespective of whether you come by road, air or sea transport you can get here very quickly.
