The global coronavirus pandemic represents a great challenge for the entire world. However, we are continuing to do everything we can to make sure you enjoy a safe and carefree stay, and we look forward to welcoming you in all our destinations along the Adriatic coast.

All our employees in hotels, resorts and camping resorts have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or are regularly tested, so you can be sure of a safe welcome. We are offering the organisation of RAT (rapid antigen) and PCR testing and health care in your hotel, resort or camping resort.

The safety and health of all our guests, employees, partners and fellow citizens remain our priority. All our hotels, resorts and camping resorts have implemented the V-Health&Safety programme of health measures, safety and cleanliness.

All COVID restrictions on entering the Republic of Croatia have been lifted.
Presentation of COVID certificates and tests is not required upon entry.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

For easier and faster border crossing, we recommend submitting your data in advance via the website entercroatia.mup.hr. In this way you can avoid additional delays at the border crossing as the border police will have your data in the system. Transit through Austria, Italy and Slovenia towards Croatia is proceeding as normal.

Travellers who have registered on entercroatia.mup.hr website will receive on their email address a confirmation of receipt and all the necessary information related to the instructions and recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health. Travellers who have not submitted their data in advance via this application will be able to do so at the border crossing when entering the Republic of Croatia.

On the Re-open EU European Commission website you can check, in real time, information on travel within the European Union, the situation at the borders, and all available transport and tourism services in EU member states.

Entering the Republic of Croatia

All COVID restrictions on entering the country have been lifted and it is no longer necessary to present an EU Digital COVID Certificate. Entry conditions are the same for all persons, same as they were before the coronavirus pandemic.

GERMANY

When re-entering the country, guests returning from Croatia must present an EU digital COVID certificate. It should contain a negative PCR test or RAT (rapid antigen) test not older than 48 hours, a certificate of recovery within the past 3 months, or a certificate of COVID-19 vaccination. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from such obligations.

ITALY

When re-entering the country, guests returning from Croatia must present an EU digital COVID certificate. It should contain a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours) OR A negative RAT (antigen) test (not older than 48 hours) or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 within the past 6 months or a certificate of COVID-19 vaccination. Without these certificates, the person must go into mandatory self-isolation for 5 days. After 5 days, an additional test (PCR or antigen) is mandatory. If the result is negative, the person is free to come out of self-isolation. Children under the age of 6 do not need to be tested. Children from 6 to 18 years of age must present a negative COVID test. Children under the age of 18 are exempt from isolation if accompanied by adults who have a COVID-19 recovery certificate or a vaccination certificate. Guests travelling to Croatian destinations less than 60 km from their place of residence for periods of less than 48 hours do not have to present a negative test when returning to the country.

People who have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate must provide a negative PCR or RAT (antigen) test not older than 72 hours upon re-entering the country. People who have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 3 months are exempt from the obligation to provide a negative COVID-19 test. Children under the age of 2 are exempt from testing.

With every booking* made directly through valamar.com or the Valamar reservation centre, each guest receives a V-Care guarantee included in the price of the reservation. The V-Care guarantee applies to all persons included in the reservation and is valid from the moment of check-in at any one of our hotels, resorts or camping resorts.

Important! To be eligible for free health care services in public health facilities during the stay in our destinations, the guest must have a valid European Health Insurance Card.


Organisation of PCR and RAT (antigen) tests

  • Organisation of RAT (rapid antigen) testing in your hotel, resort or camping resort. The price of the test is €10 - €20 per person.*

  • Organisation of PCR testing in your hotel, resort or camping resort. The price of the test is from €50 - €120 per person.*

  • It is possible to book a test in advance through our Valamar reservation centre (before your arrival, or during your stay) by registering at the reception or by contacting our V-Health&Safety Manager by 12:00 (noon) on the working day before the desired test date - except on Sundays, when tests are not performed. For a test on Monday, you need to make an appointment on Saturday by 12:00 (noon).

  • Test results will be delivered to your email address within 24 hours for the PCR and 2 hours for the RAT (rapid antigen) test. Due to increasing demand, you may experience delays in the delivery of results.

  • Test results can be in the Croatian or English language. If you are travelling by plane, a negative test result in the English language is required when boarding the plane.

  • *The cost of testing depends on the destination.

BOOKING POLICY

    • In 2022, you can cancel your reservation 2 to 7 days before your arrival date (depending on the brand) in accordance with the standard rate.

    • There is a €50 predefined deposit for pitches (or €100 for premium and luxury pitches) which is charged within 7 days of booking. In case of cancellation of reservations, the amount transferred as a deposit will not be refunded.

6. What coronavirus protection measures have you taken in your hotels and campsites?

Our hotels and campsites have always been held to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

We have put plexiglass at all staff contact points (front desk, integrals, etc.), while contact surfaces are being disinfected at all times. We have implemented special standards at swimming pools, where, in addition to disinfection, we sample water, while meeting the highest legally required standards.

The clean space programme applies to all accommodation units, which are entered according to your preferences and needs.

All food is sampled, while the linen and dishes are washed at high temperatures in accordance with certificates and the highest standards at the global level.

7. What is required upon arrival at the hotel, resort or camping resort?

When entering our hotels, resorts or camping resorts, it is not necessary to present a negative COVID-19 test. You are required to present your booking confirmation and your ID card or passport.

8. Do you have an emergency medical service in case of coronavirus symptoms?

The V care guarantee is Valamar’s healthcare package providing healthcare service and assistance to our guests 24/7. You also have a V-Health&Safety manager at your service who will provide all necessary healthcare services, such as online medical consultations, visits to medical facilities or Covid-19 testing appointments. 9. What can we expect on your beaches?

10. What options do we have for checking in and checking out?

We have simplified our check-in procedure so you can check in online or use our safe protocols at the Front desk. You can also check in by yourself with your mobile phone via the MyValamar mobile app, on our website www.valamar.com, or at our interactive kiosk (available in some accommodation facilities) upon arrival at the facility. If you prefer to check in and out without using technology, we offer the regular procedure with precautions such as a minimum distance between guests.

11. Will wearing face masks be mandatory in certain parts of the campsite?

Current regulations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health do not require the wearing of masks. 12. How will children’s entertainment programmes and children’s pools be organised?

Valamar follows the recommendations of international, European and national health organisations concerning kindergartens and applies them to all Maro amenities for children while implementing the highest hygiene standards. We have modified our programmes according to the current situation by limiting the number of children in Maro clubs and disinfecting all toys and common areas at least twice a day. Also, the prescribed minimum distance, disinfectants and all other improved hygiene standards will be ensure in all common areas. Travel to Austria for touristic purposes is possible again. The 3G rule no longer applies.
