In 2023, Istria will host the long-awaited Istria MTB stage race.

Providing the best MTB experience in Istria, it will take place from 21 to 23 September 2023 and is intended for two-member teams, who will ride on approximately 250 km of tracks around Poreč, Rabac and Labin.

The three-day race will include a total of approximately 2,500 m of elevation gain. Each of the three stages of the race is divided into three laps. The race will include six categories (Men, Men Masters, Men Grand Masters, Women, Mix, E-bike) and is open to all MTB enthusiasts aged 18 years or over. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 400 competitors / 200 teams.

The Istria MTB stage race is organised by Adria Bike, a well-known bicycle race organiser, which has gained experience in organising stage races through the first three editions of the 4 Islands MTB stage race and the organisation of the highest-profile MTB events in Croatia and the region through the Husqvarna Adria Bike Series. Adria Bike has also organised the Helter Skelter MTB Marathon in Rabac in Istria for the past few years, and it has long been in charge of one of the most popular MTB marathons in this part of Europe – the Krk’n’Roll MTB Marathon. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of its first major MTB race – the Adria Bike Marathon Plitvice.
