30 August 2025
This summer, Hvar welcomes a brand-new cultural event that blends music, nature, and timeless heritage. Asti Faros takes place on 30 August 2025 in the breathtaking setting of Stari Grad Plain – a UNESCO-protected landscape that has sustained life, agriculture, and tradition for over two thousand years.
As the sun sets over the vineyards and ancient stone walls, the plain will transform into a stage for an unforgettable evening of music. The program brings together classical melodies, Mediterranean chansons, and contemporary crossover pieces, performed by soprano Antonella Malis, the Hvar String Quartet, the Faroski Kantaduri, students of the Josip Hatze Music School, and pianist Davorka Čović.
The concert opens with a touch of tradition – children’s performances and costumed figures in Greco-Roman togas, evoking the spirit of ancient Faros. Throughout the evening, the guiding theme will be light – the symbol of Hvar, its vineyards, its people, and its art.
With its fusion of music and nature, heritage and modern artistry, Asti Faros offers both locals and visitors a once-in-a-lifetime experience in one of the Mediterranean’s most unique cultural landscapes.
