Festival of boats, the sea and sailors
In September, Stari Grad on the island of Hvar once again becomes a meeting place of the sea, tradition and the Mediterranean way of life. Days in Vala is a traditional festival of boats, the sea and sailors, celebrating Croatia’s rich maritime and cultural heritage.
Over four days, Stari Grad Bay will fill with traditional boats, while visitors can enjoy exhibitions, workshops, sailing and rowing, Dalmatian cuisine and a rich music programme. This year’s edition features performances by Petar Grašo and Klapa Cambi, while the festival will conclude with the spectacular night parade Dance of Sails and Lights.
