Badminton spectacle in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik will once again become a hub of international badminton from 1 to 3 May 2026 as it hosts the Dubrovnik VALAMAR Junior Open 2026 tournament. This prestigious junior tournament will bring together more than 200 young players from four continents, confirming the growing global importance of this sporting event.

Competitors from numerous countries will take part in the tournament, including Egypt, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, India, Thailand, Portugal, the Philippines, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hong Kong, Spain, Serbia, Paraguay, Turkey, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Malta, the United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg and North Macedonia.

The tournament gathers top young badminton players from around the world and represents an important platform for the development of the sport, international cooperation and the promotion of Dubrovnik as a premier sports destination. In addition to the competitive aspect, special emphasis is placed on connecting young athletes, exchanging experiences and strengthening international relations through sport, creating a unique atmosphere and an unforgettable experience for all participants.
