Makarska Jazz Festival

From August 28 to 30, Makarska Jazz Festival returns for its 13th edition, bringing three evenings of outstanding music to the Adriatic coast. Set in the scenic surroundings of Makarska's Monument to the Revolution, this beloved event continues to affirm its place as one of Croatia's leading international jazz festivals, drawing world-class musicians, young performers, and music lovers alike.

 

This year's program opens with Spanish bassist Vincen García, one of the most exciting names in contemporary jazz-fusion, followed by the legendary British jazz-funk and acid jazz band Incognito, celebrating more than four decades on stage with their unmistakable groove.

 

The program also includes a special morning concert, "Evo mene među moje," at Trg 4. svibnja 533, featuring young singers and musicians from Makarska Music School and Makarska Town Band – a relaxed, open-air celebration of local talent.

 

The festival closes with a gala evening dedicated to Matija Dedić, Gabi Novak, and Arsen Dedić, featuring Orkestar Ante Gelo and a stellar lineup of guest performers, conducted by Alan Bjelinski.
