Makarska Jazz Festival

From August 28 to 31, the Makarska Jazz Festival brings four evenings of quality music to the Adriatic coast. Set in the scenic surroundings of Makarska’s Monument to the Revolution, this annual event welcomes both international and local jazz artists to perform in one of Croatia’s most charming coastal towns.

 

The program includes a special morning concert at Trg 533. svibnja, offering a more intimate experience and a chance to enjoy jazz in a relaxed, open-air setting.

 

Since its beginning in 2014, the festival has built a strong reputation for bringing top-tier talent to Makarska. Names like Richard Bona, Alfredo Rodriguez, and Roby Lakatos have graced the stage, alongside Croatian legends such as Oliver Dragojević, Josipa Lisac, and Radojka Šverko – blending international talent with the soul of the region.

 

This year continues the tradition with a diverse lineup that appeals to jazz fans and casual listeners alike. Expect laid-back evenings with excellent music, a friendly atmosphere, and the unmistakable charm of Makarska in late summer.

 

Admission is free for the opening concert on August 28 and the morning concert on August 30, while tickets for the remaining nights can be purchased at the venue or via Eventim.
