JUST THE PLACE TO GO OFF THE SLOPES

If you’d like to go off-slope, there are plenty of opportunities to try something new and equally exciting, such as cross-country skiing, sledging, winter hiking, snow biking, or snow kiting. Discover the joys of the biathlon, a popular combination of cross-country skiing and rifle shooting at the Gnadenalm plateau, located halfway between Obertauern and Untertauern. You can also try out some easier outdoor activities, such as a romantic sleigh ride or a hike along well-tended trails to spectacular alpine views. Be sure to visit the Untertauern wild animal park to meet some deer, mouflons and ponies.
