From the northwest, you’ll find two main routes to Makarska:

  • A1 motorway (Zagreb - Split): take the A1 motorway towards Split. After reaching the Dugopolje exit near Split, follow the signs for the D8 state road heading towards Makarska

  • Adriatic coastal road (Rijeka - Makarska): follow the E65 and D8 state road, tracing the coastline from Rijeka through Senj, Zadar, and Split
